Job Description

Kipling Retail LLC, Kipling Director of Operations, Jersey City, NJ:

Responsible for the end to end supply chain strategies and overall execution. Oversees numerous functional areas including demand & supply planning, inventory management, sales and operational planning reporting (S&OP), customer service, master data, and system administration. Accountability for functional areas including logistics, distribution, compliance, sourcing, and customs. Responsible for talent selection and ongoing growth and development of The Supply Chain Operations Team. Sets the vision of success for the supply chain, sets the framework for achieving this vision, and establishes control related standards and procedures to track progress and execution. Work with the leadership team to achieve financial targets (such as sales, margin, profit), deliver on inventory targets, and ultimately service customers (internal & external) and consumers appropriately. Create and champion key projects to move supply chain operations forward.

Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a directly related field and six (6) years progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.

In the alternative, employer will accept Master s Degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a directly related field and four (4) years of related experience.

Qualifying experience must include 4 years of experience in apparel and fashion with retail, sourcing or manufacturing companies, and in interoperability across multiple areas and channels, including wholesale, retail and ecommerce.

Qualifying experience must also include 4 years of experience in:

Merchandising, product development, global sourcing & supply chain, manufacturing, vendor management, systems and analytics, project management and quality, as well as demonstrable proficiency with cross-functional dealings in merchandising, marketing and business management.

Analyzing large data sets, synthesizing and presenting findings and recommendations, executing to conclusion as well as leading cross-functional efforts that include both direct reporting associates and non-reporting participants comprised of peers and senior leaders.

DTC go-to-market processes bridging merchandising, product development, sourcing and production, logistics inbound & outbound distribution, customer and retail operation, sales and finance.

Operations, product technical knowledge, whole systems thinking, strategy, and analytics.

Up to 35% travel required. Telecommuting permitted.
